AutoCAD Designer / Drafter
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Work closely with project managers and engineering consultants to develop 2D detailed drawings, floor plans, and documentation of telecommunication networks using AutoCAD.
- Using AutoCAD to generate electronic files of client facilities, including but not limited to, floor plans, dimensioning, notes, elevation views, single-line drawings, cut sheets, telco, photographs, site plans, plotting/printing, binding, and on-site survey and evaluation
- Maintain and create CAD library and symbols
- Organize and maintain AutoCAD files
- Communicate with clients, vendors, and consultants by telephone, facsimile, correspondence, electronic mail, meetings, FTP, and voice mail
- Track all tasks using Timeslip program
- Track, stock, and order CAD related supplies
- Perform light office duties such as filing, answering phones, faxing, e-mailing, shipping, and light lifting
- Perform other related duties as required
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
AA/AS degree or certificate in a related field or equivalent experience. AutoCAD 2005, Microsoft applications, networking, and Timeslips software. Demonstrate a strong team orientation.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
AutoCAD 2000i and above, and drafting skills (architectural environment), Strong PC (XP), Strong oral and written communication skills. Must have two years experience.
Level of Supervision:
Work closely with documentation manager, senior project managers, and project managers.
