Low Voltage Designer

About the Role 

We’re seeking an experienced Low Voltage Designer to create technology solutions for modern workplace environments. You’ll design integrated systems for Data Centers, IT Infrastructure, AV, Telecommunications, and Security. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge companies and innovative technology solutions in a collaborative team environment. 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Review client requirements and define project scope for low voltage systems 
  • Interview IT and Facilities staff to confirm project objectives and scope alignment
  • Create preliminary conceptual designs and budget estimates
  • Develop “For Construction” documents and technical drawings
  • Design Data Centers, IT Infrastructure, AV, Telecommunications, and Security systems based on client requirements
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to communicate design objectives
  • Manage AutoCAD and Revit project setup and standards documentation
  • Attend internal and client meetings to manage scope and deadlines
  • Work flexible hours to meet project deadlines
What We’re Looking For 

Required Experience & Skills

  • 5-10 years of low voltage systems design (AV, IT, and/or Security)
  • 5-10 years of hands-on AutoCAD and Revit MEP experience
  • Proficiency with BIM 360 and Bluebeam
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in collaborative environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • RCDD certification
  • CTS or CTS-D certification
  • Ekahau Wifi Heatmap Software experience
  • Background in construction design and workplace technologies
