Job Description

You will be a Client Advocate and technical expert for multiple Audio Visual infrastructure projects and will work closely with clients. As a Client Advocate you will ensure technology objectives are met. In a Project Manager role, you will set goals for your team, be a mentor, and ensure staff training, as well as manage account budgets and internal billing.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Consistently improves knowledge of AV technology
  • Review client Audio Visual (AV) requirements and defines scope of work
  • Interview client resources including IT and Facilities staff in order to define client objectives and confirm project scopes align with clients objectives
  • Identify/define project resources from all parties, i.e., client, TELADATA and vendors
  • Create preliminary conceptual design and Rough Order of Magnitude Cost Estimates (ROM Budgets)
  • Manage project scope of work and project team resources
  • Create and manage Request for Proposals for client services
  • Create “For Construction” documents
  • Coordinate relocation of existing AV equipment (if applicable)
  • Manage build out of AV infrastructure design and assist with integration as needed
  • Manage RFI’s, Change Order process, reconcile vendor contracts and approve client invoices
  • Develop close-out documentation
  • Experience in the design and construction process participating in client, architect, and contractor meetings

Preferred Knowledge and Skills

  • Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
  • Certified Technology Specialist (CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I)
  • Programming experience for Extron, Crestron or AMX
  • Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Multidisciplinary working knowledge in the areas of electricity, electrical distribution, audio visual, video conferencing, paging, floor plan packages, and business structure

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Seasoned 3-5 years experience in Audio Visual systems, Project Management Design and Engineering
  • Experience leading and managing client and vendor teams
  • Demonstrated skills in requirements gathering, resource organization, task prioritization and scheduling
  • Excellent knowledge of AV technology and equipment
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office and capable of communicating highly technical information to nontechnical individuals
  • Proven track record of achieving objectives on schedule and within budget

Job Description

You will be the “Right Hand” to a team of Project Managers and will empower them by providing administrative support throughout the project cycle starting with preparing proposals, coordinating meetings and setting up calendars. You will also be responsible for inputting and managing up to date information in a time management system (Unanet), managing account budgets and internal billing, as well as analyzing information and preparing multiple reports. Each project is uniquely complex and contains a mix of written materials, AutoCAD drawings, IT reports and other technical documentation. In addition, you will provide in-office support to all employees by ordering office supplies, distributing mail and other various office duties.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Do what it takes to support Project Managers throughout the project cycle
  • Actively participate in ongoing Project Management meetings and prepare meeting notes for distribution to clients and vendors
  • Coordinate on-site and off-site meetings with staff, clients, and vendors
  • Maintain calendars for The Project Team utilizing Outlook
  • Arrange travel for Project Managers
  • Prepare expense reports for Project Managers
  • Be a Unanet Wizard (time management system):
    • For a new project, ensure that tasks from estimation sheet of proposal are entered into Unanet at sufficient detail
    • Track daily Unanet time entries, relocate hours if needed to more appropriate task
    • Summarize weekly project status for time, subcontractor and expenses
    • Follow up with Project Managers to make sure they update Unanet information on a timely basis.
    • Track at-risk project work
  • Help to create Request for Proposals (RFP’s) for client services
  • Assist with creating “For Construction” documents
  • Support RFI’s, Change Order process, reconcile vendor contracts and approve client invoices
  • Manage contacts for projects
  • Validate billing milestones with Accounts Receivable
  • Coordinate project close-out and develop close-out documentation
  • Coordinate SOW development, Estimation Worksheets for new/potential projects
  • Coordinate with internal TELADATA Account Managers
  • Coordinate templates, knowledge transfer, etc with internal Project Managers and external partners
  • Track all aspects of Project Start up through to Project Closeout:
    • Enter project details into Unanet
    • Set up internal folders on the server (contracts, Outlook contacts, templates, etc.)
    • Set up Project alerts for Project Managers
    • Track Billing Milestones
    • Project Closeout meetings and lessons learned

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • High school diploma and 5+ years of related work experience
  • Experience supporting multiple Project Managers, preferably in the design and construction industry
  • Understanding of Project Management cycle is helpful
  • Must be highly proficient in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and have experience with MS Project and time management software (Unanet)
  • Excellent attention to detail, follow-through, and proofreading
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to convey complex ideas
  • Must exercise discretion, judgment, and diplomacy when interfacing with clients and staff
  • Demonstrated experience in being client focused
  • Ability to independently determine project resources, set priorities, and ensure timely completion
  • Ability to understand the company’s business practices and goals and demonstrate ability to multitask.

Job Description

Teladata is seeking a CAD/Revit Drafter to work closely with the CAD Documentation Specialist and be responsible for formulating technical drawings to be used in construction plans for various clients. This person will work closely with other Teladata team members to deliver drawings on-time and in a collaborative environment.

Specific Duties and Job Responsibilities

  • Complete drawings based on company standards and client specifications.
  • Collaborate with Teladata Project Managers to communicate project objectives through drawings.
  • Setup and monitor the effective development of CAD and Revit based projects.
  • Create and maintain organization of CAD and Revit Standards.
  • Work flexible hours to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of hands-on CAD and Revit 3D production experience.
  • Expert knowledge of Revit Building Design Suite and content creation.
  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven ability to thrive in highly collaborative environments.
  • Proven ability to manage and complete multiple projects.
  • Familiar with Architectural, Structural and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical or Plumbing) construction drawings through education or work experience

  • Experience leading end-user clients through design and pricing of security systems (access control, video surveillance.) Working experience creating punch-list and testing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of communicating highly technical information to non-technical individuals.
  • Proven track record of achieving objectives on schedule and within budget.

Level of Supervision

Reports directly to Project Team Leader. Peer review required on all project plans, budgets, RFP’s and final documentation. Team will consult on strategic decisions.

Travel

Regular and frequent travel to local client sites. Out of area travel to client sites currently less than 25%.
