Senior Business Development and Account Manager
Job Description
Teladata’s Senior Business Development and Account Managers work closely with the Marketing and Operations teams to develop new business opportunities with existing and new accounts through lead generation. This position also collaborates with Practice Group Managers (PGM) and Project Managers (PM) to identify new opportunities and manage the sales process.
Marketing/Business Development Duties
- Participate in industry organizations to develop new relationships, network and learn about industry trends
- Lead the sales process—presentation, scope development, resource allocation and close of contract
- Participate in networking meetings with horizontal partners to identify new leads and share market info
- Follow up with leads from networking partners, clients and referrals
- Identify potential client/project opportunities and schedule meetings to introduce Teladata Services
Account Management Duties
- Manage multiple client accounts, including clients who have multiple jobs and service disciplines
- Take over/maintain current accounts
- Serve as point person for project team in sales efforts
- Primary contact for clients during the sales and project kick-off process
- Coordinate with internal Subject Matter Experts (SME) to ensure services in approved scope are met
- Work with SMEs and PMs on the scope of work and contracts for new projects
- Participate in client design and coordination meetings
- Generate future revenues through relationships with clients and horizontal partners (i.e., construction managers, architects, general contractors and other partners)
- Manage and maintain strategic horizontal partnerships
Expectations
- Clear communication with both project teams and management team on project status
- Provide a consistent point of contact for clients and prospects throughout the project lifecycle
- Work closely with the Director of Client Services to determine project resources and staffing
- Maintain and track all open opportunities in our Customer Relationship Management Database (CRM)
- Must have extensive/detailed follow-up and communication skills
Requirements
- 7-10 years of sales experience
- Experience in architecture, construction or IT networking industries
- Experience with CRMs
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Comfortable making phone calls to qualify leads
- Comfortable working within the Microsoft product suite
- Public speaking experience

Job Description
You will be the lead of our “Back Office” team that tracks project revenue, internal billings and subcontractor invoices and payments. You will also be responsible for inputting and managing up to date information in a time management system, managing account budgets and internal billing, as well as analyzing information and preparing multiple reports. You will be in charge of verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling accounts payable and receivable. You will work with the rest of the team to analyze month-end financial information and will be asked to contextualize finances as part of the larger “big picture” business goals.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with our CFO and other Accountants to complete AR and AP tasks.
- Analyze and prepare financial statements
- Support month-end and year-end financial close process
- Plan, assign and peer review teammates work
- Participate in financial standards and forecasts
- Be a Unanet Wizard (time management system):
- For a new project, ensure that tasks from estimation sheet of proposal are entered into project at sufficient detail
- Track daily Unanet time entries, relocate hours if needed to more appropriate task.
- Summarize weekly project status for time, subcontractor and expenses
- Follow up with Project Managers to make sure they update Unanet information on a timely basis. Project Managers focus is typically on project/client deliverables – to a fault, and sometimes needs to be refocused on internal business needs
- Track daily Unanet time entries, relocate if needed to more appropriate task.
- Track at-risk project work.
- Obtain, and analyze information and reports in carrying out special projects of a diverse nature
- Run company financial reports and maintain project budgets
- Manage Cost Tracking Logs for vendor invoices
- Coordinate with our project team to provide real time information to our clients
Required Knowledge and Skills
- High school diploma and 5 years of related accounting work experience.
- Experience supporting multiple Project Managers, preferably in the design and construction industry.
- Understanding of Project Management cycle is helpful.
- Must be highly proficient in MS Office (MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and have experience with time management software (Unanet preferred).
- Excellent attention to detail, follow-through, and proofreading.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to convey complex ideas.
- Must exercise discretion, judgment, and diplomacy when interfacing with clients and staff.
- Demonstrated experience in being client focused.
- Ability to independently determine project resources, set priorities, and ensure timely completion.
- Ability to understand the company’s business practices and goals and demonstrate ability to multitask.

Job Description
You will be a Client Advocate and technical expert for multiple Audiovisual infrastructure projects and will work closely with clients. As a Client Advocate you will ensure technology objectives are met. In a Project Manager role, you will set goals for your team, be a mentor, and ensure staff training, as well as manage account budgets and internal billing.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills

Level of Supervision
Reports directly to Project Team Leader. Peer review required on all project plans, budgets, RFP’s and final documentation. Team will consult on strategic decisions.

Regular and frequent travel to local client sites. Out of area travel to client sites currently less than 25%.
