Security Specialist/Project Manager

About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Security Specialist/Project Manager who loves the challenge of working across multiple security infrastructure projects. As a client advocate and technical expert, you’ll guide projects from needs assessment through implementation while leading your team, managing budgets, and expanding your expertise across cutting-edge security technologies.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Act as client advocate and technical expert on security infrastructure projects
- Review client requirements and define project scope with IT and Facilities stakeholders
- Create designs, budgets, and RFPs for client services
- Manage project scope, timeline, and team resources throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate security equipment relocation and infrastructure buildout
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and client communications
- Lead team members through mentoring, goal-setting, and staff training (Project Manager role)
What We’re Looking For
Required Experience & Skills
- 2+ years of experience in security systems, project management, design, and installation
- Experience leading end-user clients through design and pricing of security systems
- Experience creating punch lists and testing protocols
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Technical install experience with security equipment
- Design and construction process experience
- Knowledge of IT Infrastructure, AV, Data Center Operations, Telecommunications, or Commercial Building construction

Level of Supervision
Reports directly to Project Team Leader. Peer review required on all project plans, budgets, RFPs, and final documentation. The team will consult on strategic decisions.
Travel
Regular and frequent travel to local client sites. Out-of-area travel is currently less than 25%.
